Catherine Virginia Hepner's Obituary
Catherine Virginia Hepner, 68, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 5, 2010 at her home. She was born August 9, 1942 in Gary, Indiana; the daughter of Walter James Talmadge and Mary Ellen Curley Talmadge. On August 29, 1974, she married Jerry Dale Hepner in Dyer, Indiana. Survivors include her husband of thirty-six years, Jerry D. Hepner of Martinsville, IL; son, Kevin D. Allen of Indianapolis, IN; sisters, Dorothy McGhee of Portage, IN; Inez (Larry) Roman, of MA; Doreen (Bob) Bonner of Valparaiso, IN; brother, Richard (Lee) O'Saben of Westville, IN; aunt, Terry (Pete) Reigert, of AZ; brothers-in-law, Gene Allen of Texas; Donnie Hepner of Flat Rock, IL; Bob (Sue) Hepner of Valparaiso, IN; Art (Nancy) Hepner of FL; sisters-in-law, Cleo Lawson of Flat Rock, IL; Ann (Don) Sanger of Martinsville, IL; good friends, George & Donna Krug of Griffith, IN; Doug & Thelma Medley of Portage, IN and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter James Talmadge and Mary Ellen Talmadge Heims; son, Gary Dean Allen, Jr. and brothers, James Talmadge; Robert "Fuzzy" Talmadge and sister, Pat Allen. Cathy was a graduate of Emerson High School in Gary, IN. She worked as a waitress for Jerry's Restaurant in Marshall, IL and the Hen House Restaurant in Martinsville, IL. She was an avid bowler and bowled on a women's league at Kenwood Lanes for fifteen years. Cathy loved to read, play bingo and play the computer. She enjoyed traveling and singing. She was a Elvis fanatic. Cathy treasured her time spent with her family and friends. At her request, there will be no services.
