Carrol Ray Earhart's Obituary
Carrol R. Earhart, 87, of Casey, IL passed away at 4:10 p.m. on Friday, June 4, 2010 at The Lodge of Wabash, Vincennes, IN. He was born August 18, 1922 in Clay City, IL, the son of Edgar Earhart and Nancy Ellen Hunley Earhart. On May 28, 1949, he married Lois Davidson in Marshall, IL. Carrol is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lois Earhart of Casey, IL: sons, Steve Earhart of Vincennes, IN and Randy Earhart of Bicknell, IN; daughter, Nancy Earhart of Casey, IL; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Donald E. Earhart and infant granddaughter, Michele Marie. Mr. Earhart was an Army Air Corps veteran in WWII. He worked as a union truck driver for 30 years with Associated Truck Lines, then A & R Trucking of Chicago, IL. He also worked on the docks for 3 years in Fort Wayne, IN. Private family graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Casey Cumberland Cemetery in Casey, IL with Rev. Dan Ledley officiating. Burial will follow immediately at the cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorial tributes may be sent to the family at www.markwellfuneralhome.com.
