Carole Joan Fitzpatrick's Obituary
Carole Joan Fitzpatrick, age 89, of Hutton, IL passed away peacefully in her home. She was born November 19, 1934, the only child of Lloyd and Pauline Bennett. She had lived in Hutton, IL for most of her life, with much of her family living nearby in Westfield and other surrounding communities. Joan, as she was known, had also lived in Brownstown, IL, Carbondale, IL, Denver, CO, Toul, FRA and Lewiston, IL. She was married to Jerry Fitzpatrick, Sr., until his death in December 2007.
Survivors include her two sons and only children, Jerry Fitzpatrick, Jr. of Charleston, IL and Owen Hall of St. Paul, MN. Jerry is married to Deborah Fitzpatrick and Owen is married to Margaret Kasting. Joan enjoyed her family and her grandchildren: Jeremy Fitzpatrick (Jamie Zapp), Brandon Fitzpatrick (Kelly Fitzpatrick), Ian Hall and Stuart Hall. She was blessed with five great-grandchildren: Christopher, Noah, Harlow, Liam and Maddon Fitzpatrick. As a mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she enjoyed her family and friends. Her family will always miss her dearly.
She graduated from Charleston High School, attending Eastern Illinois University on a music scholarship. She loved living in the country in Hutton (Salisbury), IL.
Funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 12, 2024 at Markwell Funeral Home in Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. prior to the service at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL. Carole will be buried next to her husband Jerry Fitzpatrick, Sr., at Richwoods Cemetery outside of Westfield, IL.
