Carol Lee Comer's Obituary
Carol Lee (Seeley) Comer, wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on Sunday February 11th, 2024, at the age of 83 years old.
Carol is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Larry Comer: her loving child, Kevin Comer, and his wife Suzanne Comer; and her cherished grandchild Kinsley Comer.
She was a lifelong homemaker and mother. She enjoyed doing family history, getting together for family reunions, table games, jigsaw puzzles and visiting with her friends.
Carol was born October 10, 1940, in Cumberland County, IL. Daughter of Daniel Allen Seeley and Lora Inez (Oakley) Seeley. Carol graduated from Casey high school in the class of 1959. Carol grew up with her large family of fifteen brothers and sisters. She often told stories about growing up with her brothers and sisters. She also told many stories about during the time she was a live-in nanny for the Markwell family. She is survived by three of her siblings, Karen Trigg of Toledo, IL, Nancy Willoughby of Sherman, IL, and Rose Cutright of Ashmore, IL.
She has been preceded in death by her daughter Kathy Sue Clark (1996), Keith Everett Comer (2008), five brothers, six sisters, parents, and grandparents.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a visitation to celebrate her life, which will be held at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL on Friday, February 16, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Following the visitation her funeral will held at 11 am at Markwell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL. All who know Carol are encouraged to attend both services.
Memorial donations can be sent to charity of choice in lieu of flowers.
