Carol Ann Geffs' Obituary
Carol Ann Geffs, 67, of rural Casey, IL passed away at 3:10 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. She was born October 15, 1941 at the family home in Jasper County Illinois, the daughter of Edward Eugene Adkisson and Cleda Crystal Shanks Adkisson. On November 26, 1960 she married Paul Geffs in Sullivan, Indiana. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Paul Geffs of rural Casey IL: son, Todd Geffs and wife Denise of Casey, IL; grandchildren, Rebecca Geffs, Andrew Geffs, Zachariah Ring, Levi Ring and wife Jessie all of Casey, IL; great-grandchild, Asher Ring of Casey; brother, Bill Adkisson of Casey, IL; sister, Marilyn Trefz of Casey, IL; sister, Ellen Burkybile and husband Dale of Martinsville, IL and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents and daughter, Jody Lynne Geffs on June 8, 1982. Mrs. Geffs was a member of the Walnut Chapel Church of Christ, a homemaker, a member of the Cottonwood Community Center, and the Illini Prairie Quilters. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 4, 2009 at the Markwell Funeral Home in Casey, IL with Bro. Rob Slover officiating. Burial will follow in the Bellair Cemetery, Bellair, IL. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home.
