Carl Snearley's Obituary
Carl Snearley, 90, of Casey, IL passed away at 1:24 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2009 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon, IL. He was born on July 16, 1918 in Jasper County, Grandville Twp., IL, the son of Lester Snearley and Beaulah A. Finney Snearley. On May 29, 1941 he married Maurine Inman in St. Charles, MO. Survivors include his wife of sixty-seven years, Maurine Snearley of Casey, IL; son, Jerry Snearley and wife Sherri of Martinsville, IL; son, Bill Snearley of Martinsville, IL; son, Ron Snearley and wife Lori of Martinsville, IL; daughter, Ann McMorris and husband Bill of Greenup, IL; daughter, Marsha Ring and husband Dennis of Casey, IL; sister, Juanita Osborn of Robinson, IL; sister, Marjorie Wright of Casey, IL; and 15 Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren. His parents, two sons, Michael Lee and Carl Eugene Snearley, two brothers, Marshall and Cecil Snearley, sister, Faye Stephens and granddaughter, Peggy Lynn Snearley preceded him in death. Carl was a self employed plumber and after his retirement he went to work with his sons at Snearley & Company in Martinsville, IL until the age of 85. He was also a member of Casey White Oak Church of God. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Pastor Kenny Inman officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 on Tuesday evening at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL.
