Carl Leon Harris' Obituary
Carl Leon Harris, 71 of Marshall, IL passed away on Monday, April 10, 2006 at Burnsides Nursing Home in Marshall, Illinois. He was born November 21, 1934 in Clark County, Illinois to Simon Sylvester Harris and Anna Fern Cooley Harris. He married Carol Jean Cadwallader Stinson on March 20, 1993 in Clark County, Illinois. Survivors include his wife Carol Harris of Marshall, IL; son, Steve Harris and wife Susie of Oakland, IL; daughters, Cindy Good, husband Jim and family of Oakland, IL and Cris Handley and family of Charleston, IL; step daughters, Cathy Hale and family of Borne, TX, Cynthia Rowe, husband Cecil and family of Killeen, TX, and Debra Gilbert, husband John and family of Olney, IL; brother, Simon Harris, Jr. of Decatur, IL; sisters Irene Wells of Decatur, IL, Eva Beasley of Toledo, IL, and Anna Kuhn of Casey, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, William "Red" Harris and sister, Mildred Wells. Mr. Harris was retired after 29 years with Caterpillar, Inc. in Aurora, Illinois. He was US Army Peacetime Veteran and a member of the Jehovah Witness Church of the Marshall Illinois Congregation. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Presiding Overseer Mr. Keith Goodwin. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery.
