Bruce Dean Maxey's Obituary
Bruce Dean Maxey, 51, of Casey, Illinois passed away at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2009 at his residence. He was born July 10, 1958 in Olney, Illinois, the son of Jack Dean Maxey and Cherry (Brackett) Maxey. Survivors include his daughters, Tera Jo (Matt) Scales of Toledo, IL, Tausha Sue Fritts and Tory Lynn Fritts of Greenup, IL; his parents, Jack and Cherry Maxey of Casey, IL; sisters, Julia Tulane (Randy) Tomlinson of Olney, IL and Crystal Gail (Jerry) Lorton of Casey, IL; grandsons, Jesse Fritts and Matthew Wyatt Scales; granddaughters, Meah Elizabeth Scales and Lainie Isabel Shaw; aunts, Olive (Leroy) Worman of The Villages, FL, Jo Fritschle (Marion Lee, deceased) of Wildwood, FL, Tanya Kim Brackett of Olney, IL, Carole (Ed) Schafer of Newton, IL; four nieces, Mackenzie Tulane (Ryan) Denton, Leslie Talia (Bill) Slankard, Brooke Lorton and Bailey Lorton; great niece, Hadley Tulane Denton and cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Noah and Ruby (Tate) Brackett and I.F. and Lorene (Fear) Maxey; aunts, Ora Sue (Woodrow) Chenault, Joyce Ann Maxey and uncles, Darvin Maxey, Jerry Maxey and Don E. Maxey. Bruce loved his girls and family dearly. He also greatly enjoyed hunting as well as working and training dogs for police work. Private graveside services will be held at the Honey Cemetery, Jasper County, Illinois with Rev. Gene Ellis officiating.
