Bruce Eugene Cramer's Obituary
Bruce Eugene Cramer, age 83, of Yale, IL passed away at 10:24 a.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at his home. He was born November 13, 1932 in Clark County, IL, the son of Bruce Frederick Cramer and Eliza Marie Parcel Cramer. On September 1, 1957 he married Maggie Kay Inskeep in Hazel Dell, IL. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Kay Cramer of Yale, IL; sons, Bryan (Wendi) Cramer of Yale, IL and Phillip (Lori) Cramer of Yale, IL; daughters, Kathleen (Terry) Fischer of Yale, IL and Gena (Clark) Cochonour of Casey, IL; sister, June (Rev. Ronald) Gross of Oblong, IL; grandchildren, Cody (Abby) Fischer, Kaycee (Andrew) Schneider, Brandie (Brandon) Hutchens, Jeremy (Brooke) Cramer, Ryan Cramer, Jordan (Brooke) Cramer, Katie (Lucas) Dillier, Maria and Madison Cramer and Caroline, Christian and Gabriel Cochonour; great grandchildren, Brody and Leighton Cramer, Jedson and Owen Dillier, Elijah Cramer, and Micah and Eliza Schneider. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Kathleen Cramer and brothers in law, Jim Inskeep, Herschel Hires and Howard Swango. Eugene was a 1950 graduate of Casey High School. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force from 1952 to 1956. Eugene was retired after a lifetime of farming and carpentry. He was an active member of the Hazel Dell American Legion and a faithful member of New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where he served as an Elder and was a song leader for many years. Eugene loved to boat, water ski and hunt quail and pheasant. He worked hard so he could play hard. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Pastor Tom Marsh and Pastor Chris Parr officiating. Burial will follow in the Hickory Cemetery, rural Yale, IL with graveside military rites by the Casey VFW, Hazel Dell American Legion and the Martinsville American Legion. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday evening at New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 20975 E. 2100th Ave., Yale, IL.
