Bill D. Stout, 67, of Casey, IL passed away at 7:25 a.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at St. Vincent Seton Hospital, Indianapolis, IN. He was born November 14, 1946 in Cumberland County, IL, the son of Ernest Lee Stout and Sarah Lucille Adamson Stout. On March 1, 1986 he married Brenda Carol Dempsey in Greenup, IL. She passed away on July 30, 2009. He later married Marjorie Ruth Newsome Brandenburg on November 7, 2012 in Marshall, IL. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Brandenburg Stout of Casey, IL; daughter, Nickie (Ron) Orr and grandson Keith Orr of Indianapolis, IN; brothers, Don (Karen) Stout of Casey, IL; Dan (Judy) Stout of Casey, IL, Steve (Linda) Stout of St. Louis, MO; sisters, Patty (Timm) Luhrsen of Champaign, IL and Violet Stout of Mattoon, IL; Brenda's sons, Bert Minor of Jewett, IL and Dan Minor of TN; Ruth's children, Steve (Marilyn ) Brandenburg of Casey, IL; Nancy (Larry) Shafer of Greenup, IL; Carla (Steve) Zachary of Martinsville, IL; Joy (Roy) Myers of Martinsville, IL; twelve step grandchildren and fourteen step great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents and his son, Brent Stout. Bill was retired from Celotex in Charleston, IL. He was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. He loved his church and his church family. He adored his grandchildren. One of his favorite hobbies was wood working; he created very intricate wood cross puzzles. He had just renewed his fishing license and was looking forward to the spring. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Oakley officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL. Burial will be in the Greenup Cemetery, Greenup, IL at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to The Gideons International, PO Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214-0800.
