Betty M Hutton's Obituary
Betty M. Hutton, 81, of Casey, IL passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at her home in Casey, IL. She was born August 10, 1932 in Casey, IL, the daughter of Rex Ritter and Mabel Dixon Ritter. She married Jim B. Hutton on May 16, 1952 in Casey, IL. He passed away on February 4, 2005. Survivors include two sons, David Hutton and wife Debby of Casey, IL and their children, Tyler and Lauren; Alan Hutton and his wife Shelly of Casey, IL and their children, Tori, Justin, Jordan and fiancé Jason Clapp; two daughters, Debbie Hutton of Casey, IL and Carol Sartin and her husband David of Tulsa, OK and their children Andrea, Michael, Lindsay Eichten and husband Brandon and their daughter Macy, Betty's only great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother, Gene Ritter. Betty was a member of the Casey First Christian Church where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and was a member of the Everyday Angels. She served as chairperson for various community organizations and events. Betty was a member of the Loyal Order of the Eastern Star; Casey Women's Civic League, the Casey Woman's Club and served as president of the Casey Senior Citizen Center Board. Betty was a Casey Township Library trustee and a member of the Casey VFW Women's Auxillary. She enjoyed the countless hours she volunteered at the Casey Westfield Monroe Elementary School. A memorial service will be held 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at the Casey First Christian Church with Dr. Glen Rosborough and Pastor Jan Harris officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Casey First Christian Church, 200 SE Eighth St., Casey, IL. In honor of Betty's memory her family requests donations be made to the Betty Hutton Library Fund at Monroe Elementary School, 301 E. Monroe St., Casey, IL 62420 or Casey First Christian Church General Fund, 200 SE Eighth St., Casey, IL 62420. Betty would encourage gifts of time in the lives of children through volunteering with reading programs in schools.
