Betty Lee Hobson's Obituary
Betty Lee Hobson, 78, of Casey, Illinois passed away at 2:16 p.m. on Monday, January 12, 2009 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. She was born on October 1, 1930 in Tangier, Indiana, the daughter of Leo R. Hobson and Emily Baker Hobson. Survivors include her sister, Mary A. Nichols of Casey, Illinois; many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carolyn Messina; niece, Emily Bailey; nephew, Tommy Strange and three brothers in law. Betty worked for over twenty years for Lockheed Martin. She had also worked for Goodyear in California and as a Cashier for Family Dollar in Casey, Illinois. She attended the First Baptist Church in Casey, Illinois. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at the First Baptist Church, 101 E. Alabama St., Casey, Illinois with Rev. Tom Marsh officiating. Burial will be in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery at a later date. There will be no visitation. Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church, 101 E. Alabama St., Casey, IL 62420.
