Betty Jean Dulgar's Obituary
Betty Jean Dulgar, 84, of Casey, Illinois passed away at 10:38 a.m.. on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL. She was born August 23, 1924 in Cumberland County, Illinois, the daughter of Joseph and Flossie Rene Ozier Hayden. On December 14, 1941 she married William Harrison Dulgar in Old Monroe, MO. He passed away on January 25, 2000. She is survived by her son, Jack Dulgar and his wife Valerie of Gold Canyon, Arizona; son, Stephen W. Dulgar of Casey, IL; daughter, Sheryl Ragon and husband Robert of Hazel Dell, IL; brother Joe Hayden and his wife Jan of Clermont, FL; grandchildren, Michelle Haley and husband Dan of Martinsville, IL; Chris Gardner and wife Shawna of Casey, IL; Justin Dulgar and wife Crystal of Mt. Carmel, IL; Stephanie Dulgar and fiancé Shawn Stockman of Mt. Carmel, IL; Amy Dulgar and fiancé Shane Brown of Groveland, FL; great grandchildren Caleb Haley of Martinsville, IL; Elleigh and Libbie Gardner of Casey, IL; Joshua Brown of Groveland, FL; and Kasen Dulgar of Mt. Carmel, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, John and Kenneth Hayden; sister, Hazel Hayden; granddaughter, Lisa Dulgar and an infant brother. Betty was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Casey, Illinois, and she co-owned and operated Dulgar's Grocery in Casey for many years. She will always be remembered by her family as a spunky mom, grandma and granny. Her unconditional love, smile and sense of humor will never be forgotten. Funeral services will be held at the Markwell Funeral Home in Casey, IL on Monday, June 1, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Dick Krenzke officiating. Burial will follow at Casey Cumberland Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations and contributions may be made to the Charity of the Donor's Choice.
