Betty Lois Blagg's Obituary
Betty Lois Blagg, 84, of Westfield, IL passed away at 6:50 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2011 in Tucson, AZ. She was born December 18, 1926 in Casey, IL, the daughter of P. Guy Estes and Ruth McFarland Estes. On March 8, 1945, she married Raymond F. Blagg in Casey, IL. He passed away on January 31, 1998. Survivors include son, Gary Blagg of Battle Creek, MI; daughter, Sandra Blagg of Tucson, AZ; granddaughters, Danielle Stenquist and husband Robert of Tucson, AZ; Amy Wilkins and husband Richard of Casey, IL; great granddaughters, Kindra and Chelsey Wilkins of Casey, IL and Haley and Brooke Stenquist of Tucson, AZ; great great grandson, Robbie Stenquist of Tucson, AZ and sister, Myrna Walters of Martinsville, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Rodney Blagg; infant twins; brothers, Doyle Estes and Kermit Estes; sisters, Dorothy Maulding, Mary Connelly, Ilene Trout and Neta Schwarz and daughter-in-law, Darlene Blagg. Betty was a homemaker and former building service worker for Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL. She was a member of the Salisbury Church, Hutton Campus, Hutton, IL and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Betty was a lifelong resident of Westfield, IL. She enjoyed spending winter months in Tucson, AZ. Betty enjoyed singing and recorded a CD, "Singing Praises To God". She also enjoyed flower gardening. Betty was a Christian woman and felt God's grace led her to pray with and for people. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2011 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Rev. Ray Finney officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Cemetery, Charleston, IL. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday evening at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL. Memorial donations and contributions may be made to the Salisbury Church, Hutton Campus, 2190 County Highway 5, Charleston, IL 61920.
