Benjamin Arthur Mosher's Obituary
Benjamin Arthur "Bennie" Mosher, 90, of Salina, Kansas formerly of Casey, Illinois passed away at 8:55 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Lindsborg Community Hospital, Lindsborg, Kansas. He was born September 9, 1918 in Martinsville, Illinois, the son of Levi W. Mosher and Grace Blunk Mosher. He married Gertrude A. Bridges on April 28, 1945; she passed away on January 15, 1990. He later married Sherry Russ on February 14, 1991 in Casey, Illinois. Survivors include his wife, Sherry Mosher of Salina, KS; stepson, Robert Jerald Parker and wife Jean of Las Vegas, NV; stepson, Sean E. Percival of Houma, LA; stepdaughter, Candice Percival of Salina, KS; sister, Vera Freeland of Colona, IL; four grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Gertrude A. Mosher; grandson, Robert Parker, Jr.; granddaughter, Elizabeth Fagin; brother, Truman Emery Mosher; sisters, Bertha Gilmore, Opal Madina Kennedy and Vora Howard, brother in law, George Freeland and half sister, Edna Craig. Mr. Mosher worked as a Circle A Rate Molder for John Deere Foundry in East Moline, IL for over thirty-five years. He attended the Macedonia Baptist Church and the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Casey, IL. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL with Rev. Gene Southard officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Graveside funeral services and burial will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at the Greenview Memorial Gardens, 1202 Ave. of the Cities, East Moline, IL.
