Barbara Lynn Hanners Rardin's Obituary
Barbara Lynn Hanners Rardin, 65, of Casey, Illinois passed away at 12:29 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born on January 21, 1944 in Casey, Illinois, the daughter of George T. Hanners and Evia Estelene O'Dell Hanners. On July 14, 1961 she married Bill Rardin, Sr. in Hazel Dell, Illinois. Survivors include her husband of forty-eight years, Bill Rardin of Casey, IL; mother, Evia Hanners of Casey, IL; sons, Bill Rardin, Jr. and wife Lori (Roan) of Lerna, IL; Brent Rardin of Lafayette, IN; Kirk Rardin and wife Jennifer (Pringle) of Robinson, IL; and Andrew Rardin and wife Amy (Flowers) of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Brandon, Justin, Abrianne, Tandrek, Aurek, Tayeb, Katelyn, Benjamin, Nathanael, Jaydon and Lindalynn Rardin; sisters, Helen Lee of Martinsville, IL and Betty Pine and husband Dennis of Martinsville, IL and many nieces and nephews. Her father, George T. Hanners preceded her in death. Mrs. Rardin was a member of the Hazel Dell Church of God. She previously worked as a receptionist and in the circulation department at the Casey Reporter Newspaper and was a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She especially enjoyed hummingbirds and flowers. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Rev. Rick Emrich officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday evening at the funeral home. Memorial donations and contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 115 N Neil St., #100, Champaign, IL 61820.
