Andy Lee Ellington's Obituary
Andy Lee Ellington, 82, of Casey, and formerly of Martinsville, IL passed away at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 25, 2010 at Casey Health Care Center, Casey, IL. He was born July 16, 1927 in Martinsville, IL, the son of Jonathon Ellington and Lela Mae Spittler Ellington. On May 15, 1950 he married Neva June Ikemire in Marshall, IL. Survivors include his loving wife of sixty years, June Ellington of Casey, IL; daughter, Susan Weir and husband Danny of Casey, IL; grandsons, Dustin Weir of Glendale, CA and Lincoln Weir of Indianapolis, IN; brother, Chester Ellington and wife Nora of Terre Haute, IN; sisters, Mildred Huey of Marshall, IL; Patsy Simpson of Marshall, IL and Rose Blunk and husband Charles of Darwin, IL; sister-in-law, Eileen Ellington of Marshall, IL and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Edward Ellington, and Noah Dean Ellington. Mr. Ellington was a retired life-long farmer. He was a US Army Korean War Veteran and a member of the First Christian Church in Martinsville, IL. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 28, 2010, at the Greenwell Funeral Home, Martinsville, IL with Rev. Mike Luke and Pastor Mike Kasting officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with Graveside Military Rites by the Martinsville American Legion. Visitation will be held from 4 - 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 27, 2010, at the funeral home. Memorial donations and contributions may be made to the First Christian Church, 324 N.
