Alta Fair Owen, 95, of Casey, IL passed away at 8:25 p.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at Casey Health Care Center, Casey, IL. She was born October 16, 1912 in Cumberland County, Illinois the daughter of Otto Lacey and Elva Elizabeth Cutright Lacey. On December 24, 1931 she married Herschel E. Owen in Cumberland County, IL, he passed away on August 21, 1992. Survivors include sons, Brent Owen & wife Joyce of Robinson, IL; Kent Owen of Casey, IL and Jim Owen & wife Rita of Rochester, IL; daughter, Charlotte Wright & husband Cecil of Casey, IL; grandchildren, Lonnie Wright of Big Horn, WY, Luanne Berk of Canton, MI, Jennifer Zerrusen of Teutopolis, IL, Joshua Wright of Mattoon, IL, Michele Owen Heinz of Washington, IL, Angela Owen Harmon of Fishers, IN, Andrew Owen of Sullivan, IL, Joe Owen of Missouli, MT, Sydney Owen of Rochester, IL and Madeline Owen of Rochester, IL and eighteen great grandchildren. Her parents, husband, son, Otto (Toddy) Owen, brothers, Noble Lacey and Otis Lacey and sister, Ernestine Lacey, preceded her. Mrs. Owen was a homemaker and a member of the Casey Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Casey, IL. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, November 12, 2007 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Rev. Ron Juenger officiating. Burial will be in the Washington Street Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12 - 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Casey Cumberland Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 21, Casey, IL 62420.
