Allen Baker's Obituary
Allen Baker, 67, of Casey, IL passed away at 9:05 a.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at his home. He was born August 10, 1947 in Lima, OH the son of O. E. (Slim) Baker and Delores Maxine Leohr Baker. Survivors include his son, Travis Baker Allison of Martinsville, IL; brother, Jim Baker of Casey, IL; nieces, Amber Brandenburg and husband Michael of Casey, IL and Milissa Baker of Casey, IL; great nieces and nephews, Shaden Porter, Saidee Brandenburg, Levi Brandenburg and Zoen Stout. He was preceded in death by his parents, Slim and Maxine Baker. Allen was a US Army veteran serving his country during the Vietnam War. He owned and operated Baker's Heating and Air in Casey for many years and worked in the oilfields. Allen previously served as an Alderman for the City of Casey. He was a lifetime member of the Casey VFW, the NRA and the Round Grove Sportsman Club. He enjoyed spending time with his hunting dogs. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at the Markwell Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Toner officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL with graveside military rites by the Casey VFW and Hazel Dell American Legion. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon prior to the service at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL. Memorial donations may be made to the Casey VFW, 300 S.
