Alice Vera Warner Coleman's Obituary
Dateline: Vera Coleman, Casey, IL Alice Vera Warner Coleman, 102, of Casey, IL passed away at 6:35 a.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Casey Health Care Center, Casey, IL. She was born December 1, 1913 in Clay City, IL, the daughter of Edgar Earhart and Ethel Devore Earhart. Her mother passed away when she was six months old; she was raised by her father and stepmother, Nancy Ella Hunley Earhart. On October 2, 1929 she married Clarence E. Warner in Tuscola, IL; he passed away on August 30, 1970. On January 8, 1983 she married Victor E. Arnold; he passed away on April, 2, 1988. In November 1991 she married Forrest A. "Ike" Coleman in Clark County, IL; he passed away on October 4, 2005. Survivors include her son, Howard (Betty) Warner of Martinsville, IL; daughters, Linda (Robert) Davis of Westfield, IL and Ruth (Garry) Storment of Ashmore, IL; daughter in law, Joyce Warner of Mattoon, IL; twenty nine grandchildren, sixty one great grandchildren, sixty four great great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, sons, Robert, Dale and Charles Warner, sister Mildred Ashwill, half brothers, Donald and Carroll Earhart and four grandchildren. Mrs. Coleman was a member of the Willis Chapel Church and the Round Grove Community Club. She was a homemaker and farmer's wife. In the late 1940's, Vera ran the Oilfield Store with her husband Clarence Warner. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 14, 2016 at the Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Ledley officiating. Burial will follow in the Lindsey Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday evening at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
