AD "Alkie" McNary's Obituary
A.D. "Alkie" McNary, age 76, of Marshall, died on Tuesday, June 154, 2005 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2005 at the Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall with Rev. Bill Ulrey officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2005 and from 7 a.m. until service time on Saturday, June 18,2005 at the funeral home. Masonic Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Auburn Cemetery in rural Marshall. He was born October 17, 1928 in the Livingston Community in Clark County, IL, the son of Frank McNary and Ellen Guinnip McNary Shonk. He married Juanita Swope on January 24, 1953 in Casey; she survives. He was a retired self-employed carpenter. He was a member of the Marshall Lodge #133 AF & AM and the Scottish Rite Valley of Danville, IL. He served his country as a member of the US Navy. Surviving are his wife, Juanita; sons Clark McNary and his special friend Tina McSchooler and Craig McNary and wife Sonja Prevo, all of Marshall, daughter Renda Kirby and husband Todd of West Union, grandson Caleb McNary of Marshall and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and two brothers. Memorial donations may be made to the donor's choice.
