William Warren Robinson, age 84, of Lake City, FL formerly of Indianapolis, IN and Westfield, IL passed away at 7:50 a.m. on Monday, December 16, 2019 at Lake City Medical Center, Lake City, FL. He was born July 19, 1935 in Paris, IL, the son of Jessie Beaddle Robinson and Mable Mae Willison Robinson. On October 1, 1954 he married Charlotte Irene Kirkley in Westfield, IL.
Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Charlotte Robinson of Lake City, FL; daughters, Kathy Robinson of Hendersonville, NC; Betty Brown (Roy Allen) of Lansing, TN and Valerie Robinson of Indianapolis, IN; son, David Paul Robinson (Karen) of Bedford, England; siblings, Ronald Robinson (Pamela) of Martinsville, IL; Vickie Sue Robinson Benefiel (Allen) of Greenup, IL and Ethel Robinson Roberts (Charles) of Mattoon, IL and many loved and cherished grandkids and great grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents, sons, William W. Robinson, Jr. and Jonathan B. Robinson; sisters, Mary Robinson Carroll and Peggy Robinson and grandson, Robert William “Bobby” Davis.
Bill was a graduate of Westfield High School. He served his country in the US Air Force. Bill worked as a tool and die maker for Tube Processing in Indianapolis, IN. He was a member of the Church of God in Lake City, FL. Bill enjoyed flying, fishing, traveling, baking and cooking, especially making his own recipes which he would video and share with family and friends. He was an architect by heart and loved designing and building many things from start to finish. Bill loved his family dearly and treasured family times together; his philosophy was “the more the merrier.”
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 23, 2019 at Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Emrich officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Westfield, IL with graveside military rites by Westfield American Legion and Kansas American Legion. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. prior the service on Monday at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
