Wayne was born November 19, 1948 in Jewett, Illinois, a son of the late Lyle and Lois (Oakley) Stallings. He is survived by his wife, Leah Irene (Baker) Stallings; their daughter, Monica (Stallings) Butler and husband Jason; four grandchildren, Cahdena and Kalea Butler, Amber Harris, and Latina Patry and husband Scott; seven great-grandchildren, Journey Patry, Marcia Turner, Alisha and Samuel Carter-Alvis, Lilliana and Max Freeman, and Phoenix Odin; as well as several in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. Wayne was preceded by both his parents; his brother, Burlin Stallings; a sister, Susan Stallings; his daughter, Marcia (Stallings) Harris; and a great-grandson Leon Turner.
Wayne started working when he was 16 years old and went on to earn his GED from Lakeland College. He has always been known as a hard-working man who dedicated over 25 years of his life working for Casey Tool Machine (formerly McQuay Norris and SKF). Later in life, he worked as a janitor and bus driver for Casey High School before retiring. Wayne loved spicy foods, watching old movies, reading, camping, fishing, hunting and keeping a smart looking yard. He loved NASCAR and his favorite driver was Darrell Waltrip. Wayne was known to have a sarcastic sense of humor and was quick to tease, yet he was a truly loving husband, friend, father, grandpa and great-grandpa. He will be missed and lovingly remembered in our hearts.
