Vivian Laura (Morrow) Baird

Vivian Laura Baird, age 83, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 5:05 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at home with her family by her side.  She was born August 31, 1940 in Marissa, IL the daughter of Samuel Adam Morrow, Sr. and Marie Elizabeth Foertsch Morrow.

Survivors include her companion of fifty years, William T. “Bill” Craig of Martinsville, IL; sons, William Nick Craig (Crystal) of Martinsville, IL; Marshall Baird (Diane) of Coulterville, IL; Jim Baird of Marissa, IL; daughters, Wilma Eggemeyer (Sam) of Walsh, IL and Nancy Hagene (Donald) of Paducah, KY; sister, Midge Dobyns of Ava, IL; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nephews and nieces.  She was preceded by her parents, husband, Earl Baird; three brothers and two sisters.

Laura was a 1957 graduate of Sparta High School, Sparta, IL.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, walking and Bingo.  Laura loved attending fairs and helped with the Martinsville Ag Fair for over forty years.  She enjoyed spending time with her dog and her family.  Laura faithfully attended Casey First Baptist Church in Casey, IL.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.  Inurnment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, rural Martinsville, IL.
