Tony Ray Kingery Obituary

Tony Ray Kingery, age 38 of Martinsville, Illinois entered eternal life on the evening of Friday, January 22, 2021 in Marshall, IL.  He was born on November 23, 1982 in Paris, Illinois, the son of Tony Ray Kingery and Jennifer Lynn Griffin.  He married Roxanna Miller in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 17, 2008.

Survivors include his wife, Roxie Kingery of Martinsville, IL; daughter, Elizabeth Osborn of Hastings, PA; son, Logan Osborn of Casey, IL; daughter, Madilyn “Madi” Kingery of Martinsville, IL; son, Tony Ray Kingery of Martinsville, IL; mother, Joanie Snearley of Martinsville, IL; father, Ronnie (Lori) Snearley; brother, Chris Snearley (Amanda) of Martinsville, IL; brother, Jesse Snearley (Jamie) of Martinsville, IL; brother, Dusty Ferris of Paris, IL; brother, Clyde Ferris (Bobbi) of Paris, IL; grandfather Clyde Griffin of Paris, IL; mother-in-law Rita Miller of Martinsville, IL; father-in-law, Randy Miller of Marshall, IL several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Tony is preceded in death by his dad, Tony Kingery; birth mother, Jennifer Griffin; grandparents, Carl and Shielda Kingery; grandmother, Jenny Griffin; father-in-law, Ted Stivers; cousin, Gunner Lindsay; childhood friends, Robert “Woody” Keller and Nathan Reynolds.

Tony is a 2001 graduate of Martinsville High School in Martinsville, Illinois. Tony never knew a stranger and loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed spending time with his children, hunting and fishing with his son and father-in-law, playing poker and coin collecting. He was a former board member of the Martinsville Little League, where he enjoyed coaching baseball with his childhood best friend, Heath Skinner. He also ran the co-ed softball league with his wife, Roxie, where they were able to fundraise for many families. Tony was also a former Assistant Softball Coach for the Illiana Dream Seams, Jr High Softball, and High School Softball. He truly loved every player he coached. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Greenwell Funeral Home with Pastor Danelle Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Martinsville, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 9 – 11 a.m. prior to the service at Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington Street, Martinsville, IL.  (Per CDC guidelines, 50 attendees are allowed inside our facility at a time. Attendees should stay at least 6 feet apart and wear a cloth face covering.)

The family is requesting memorial donations be sent Roxanna Kingery, 990 Ridgelawn Rd., Apt. B, Martinsville, IL 62442 to help with funeral expenses.
