Tamera Kay "Tammy" Larkin Goldstein Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce that Tamera Kay Goldstein (née Larkin) age 66, of Clearwater, FL passed from this earth suddenly in the early morning hours of Thursday, July 1st, 2021 at her home. Tammy was born on September 15th, 1954, the daughter of Paul M. and Freda Larkin of Casey, IL. Paul was an oilfield worker and veteran of the Pacific Campaign in WWII. Freda worked at the Ettelbrick Shoe Factory in Casey.

Tammy was a 1972 graduate of Casey High School. She lived in several other places during her lifetime including Oblong, IL; Flora, IL; Evansville, IN; Hebbardsville, KY; Jackson, TN; as well as many cities in Florida. Tammy spent much of her life in the restaurant industry. She worked at the Hiway Cafe in Oblong, IL and managed Ichabod’s Bar & Grill in Flora, IL in 1980s. She was a server at Olive Garden in Evansville, IN in the late 1980s through the mid-1990s. While living in Jackson, TN through the 2000s, she worked at the Holiday Inn and at The Office Lounge as a bartender. During her time in Jackson, she also owned and operated an antique shop for several years.  She was widely known and loved by those she served.

When Tammy moved to Florida in 2011, she shifted careers to become a private home health aide to several families in Florida. She was a compassionate and dedicated caregiver to Patricia “Patty” Hickox, Howard and Dorothy Frick, and Ruth Keehn.

Tammy had a deep love of music. She enjoyed going out with friends, keeping up with current events, spending time with the people she loved, sunning at the beach, tipping her server or bartender way too much, and making friends out of complete strangers.  She had a warm and caring heart.  She embraced people from all walks of life without judgement or reservation.

Tammy is survived by her son Toby J.B. Goldstein (Lana) of Dallas, TX; brothers, Paul Larkin (Jeannie) of Leesburg, GA and Kevin Larkin of Casey, IL; best friend, Marsha Orrell of Clearwater, FL who took great effort in caring for Tammy over the last few years; nieces and nephews including, Wesley Larkin (Leslie), Chandler Larkin, Penny Dias, Carrie Goldstein, Isaac Goldstein, Dawson (Ariana) Goldstein, Sean (Jackie) Dawkins, Crystal (Ryan) Ballard, Cody Dawkins, and great-nephew, Paul Larkin. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sandra Laughlin; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Larkin.
