Shirley Diane (Donovan) McHenry

Shirley Diane McHenry age 86, of Westfield, IL passed away at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL. She was born February 17, 1936 in Maywood, IL, the daughter of Horace Theodore “Ted” Donovan and Edna Mae Bennett Donovan. On August 20, 1963, she married Joseph Earl McHenry in Westfield, IL; he passed away December 28, 2001.

Survivors include her sons, Michael Warner and wife Connie of Perrysville, IN, Patrick Warner and wife Terri of Richmond Hill, GA, and Sean McHenry and wife Angie of Westfield, IL; daughters, Colleen Bright of Charleston, IL and Kimberly Fouty of Westfield, IL; thirteen grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren. She is preceded by her parents, husband; infant daughter, Shirley Irene Warner, and son-in-law, Bill Fouty.

Diane was a faithful member of the Westfield United Methodist Church and volunteered with the Christian Kids Club. She was a waitress at the Westfield Diner and Westfield Café and was also a librarian at the Westfield Library. Diane was also a member of the Charleston Moose. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Markwell Funeral Home with Pastor Walter Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Richwoods Cemetery, Westfield, IL. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 18, 2022 at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
