Shirley Ann Swim

Shirley Ann Swim, age 84, of Casey, IL passed away at 7:50 p.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Heartland Nursing and Rehab in Casey, IL.  She was born January 25, 1936 in Greenup, IL, the daughter of Wesley Carver and Clara Irene Carlen Carver.  On February 16, 1952 she married Roy W. Swim in Casey, IL; he passed away on January 29, 2002. 

Survivors include her daughters, Peggy Low (Warren) of Casey, IL; Christine Gangloff (Gary) of Robinson, IL; Kim Nelson (Steve) of Wadsworth, IL and Shirley Hall (Philip) of Troy, OH; thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her father, Wesley Carver, mother and stepfather, Clara and Pete Pavelick; brothers, Fred, Donald and Thomas Carver; sister, Ruth Reedy; and infant sister and grandson, Jacob Hall.  

Mrs. Swim attended Cumberland High School.  She loved her job as a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She enjoyed yard work and spending time outdoors. 

Graveside funeral services and burial will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL with Tony Cargle officiating.
