Obituary
Sheryl Lynn “Sherry” Schaefer Kemper, age 58, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 5:55 a.m. on Monday, January 2, 2023 at her residence. She was born February 15, 1964 in Huntington, IN, the daughter of Jerome Albert Meiring and Judith Kay Hightshoe Meiring.
Survivors include her husband, Andy Joe Kemper Sr. of Martinsville, IL; her mother, Judy Meiring of Weldon, IL; four daughters, Shannon Summers (Rob) of Weldon, IL; Misty Schaefer of Weldon, IL; Holly Hanger (boyfriend, Brad Cottingham) of Thomasboro, IL, and Jamie Hanger of Weldon, IL; two brothers, Jeff Meiring (Marie) of Martinsville, IL and Kevin Meiring of Melrose, IL; nine grandchildren, Wyatt, Lily, Lala, Gracie, Lane, Vada, Finn, Kayden, and Arana. She was preceded in death by her father.
She enjoyed collecting rocks and Indian beads. She also enjoyed root digging, camping, and playing dice.
Cremations rites have been observed per Sherry’s wishes and no services will be scheduled at this time.
