Sandra Fern (Tuttle) Middleton, age 79, of Fithian, IL formerly of Robinson, IL, Danville, IL, Casey, IL, and Yale, IL entered the Kingdom of Heaven at 6:48 a.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Carle Hospital in Urbana, IL. She was born August 21, 1943 in Robinson, IL the daughter of Roy Eugene Tuttle and Sylvia Mae (Inboden) Tuttle. On October 10, 1960 she married Jerry Dean Middleton in Shawneetown, IL. They shared 50 years of marriage before he passed away on January 28, 2016.
Survivors include her son, Cory Middleton (Cinnamon) of Danville, IL; brothers, Roy Tuttle (Sharon) of Ste. Marie, IL; sister, Carlene Turnock of Winter Garden, FL; brother-in-law, Fred Campbell of Robinson, IL; several nephews and nieces; and special friend, Sabrina Yealick who took care of them both during their years at Yale, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Cozette Campbell (Fred) and Jeanette Sears (Bill); brothers, Raymond Tuttle (Vicki), Carl Tuttle (Harriette), and infant brother, Norman Tuttle and nephew, Tim Sears.
Sandy was a 1962 graduate of Robinson High School. She worked in the business office for many years at United Samaritan Medical Center in Danville, IL. Sandy and Jerry joined the New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Yale, IL, where they both became active members of the church. Sandy taught Sunday school and volunteered at Master’s Hands Food Pantry in Newton, IL and Hope Food Pantry in Hidalgo, IL. She also volunteered rocking babies in the NICU at Carle Hospital in Urbana. Her life consisted of serving and helping others. She was looking forward to serving the Lord through the GAP program at C-U Church in Urbana, IL. She enjoyed fishing, fellowship with her Church family, Bible study and spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 20975 E. 2100th Ave., Yale, IL with Pastor Chris Parr and Pastor Kevin Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Hickory Cemetery, Yale, IL. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service at the church.
Sandy requested instead of flowers for memorial donations to be sent to the NICU at Carle Hospital for rocking chairs, 611 W. Park St., Urbana, IL 61801.
