Ronald Kent Darr

Ronald Kent Darr, age 74, of Westfield, IL passed away at 6:53 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Coles County, IL.  He was born January 6, 1946 in Paris, IL the son of Clifford H. Darr and Rose Erline Knecht Darr.  On September 28, 1969 he married Janis Marie Winn in Casey, IL.

Survivors include his wife, Janis M. Darr of Westfield, IL; sons, Michael K. Darr of Casey, IL and Rick A. Darr (Monica) of Knob Noster, MO; sister, Carol Janssen (Bob) of Casey, IL; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren, his Church family and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents. 

Ron was a 1964 graduate of Casey High School.  After high school he served his country in the US Air Force.  Ron was employed in sales, insurance and retired from Lowes.  He was a faithful member of Olive Branch Baptist Church.  Ron enjoyed woodworking, pen making, blacksmithing and gourds.  He especially enjoyed genealogy and spending time with his family.    

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at Olive Branch Baptist Church, rural Martinsville, IL.
