Robin Lynn Baker

Robin Lynn Stutesman Baker, age 65, of Casey, IL passed away at 7:40 p.m. on Monday, February 14, 2022 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL. She was born November 3, 1956 in Charleston, IL.  Robin was the daughter of Hugh Lewis “H” and Bernice Brandenburg Wilson.

Survivors include her daughters, Amber Brandenburg (Michael Wayne) of Casey, IL and Milissa Baker (Korey Montgomery) of Casey, IL; grandchildren, Saidee Brandenburg (Alex Truelove), Levi Brandenburg, Shaden Porter, and Zoen Stout; great grandchildren, Paisley Truelove and Wyatt Truelove; sister, Debbie Martin (Wayne) of Zephyrhills, FL; the father of her children, James S. Baker of Casey, IL and nephews, nieces, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and parents.

Robin was a 1974 graduate of Casey High School.  She was a very social person and especially enjoyed the people she worked for in health home care and housekeeping.  Robin enjoyed traveling; two of her favorite places were the Garden of the Gods and French Lick.  Along her travels she enjoyed collecting rocks.  Robin was a true sun lover and enjoyed sunbathing by the pool for hours.  She also loved her pet parakeets and canaries; she was happy watching them for hours while enjoying a Hershey’s chocolate bar, Pepsi and cigarette. 

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Harper officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. prior to the service on Wednesday at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL. (Per CDC Guidelines indoor masks and face coverings are required regardless of vaccination status in the facility.  Attendees should also practice social distancing.)
