Richel Guimary Truelove

Richel Guimary Truelove, age 55, of Martinsville, IL formerly of the Philippines passed away unexpectedly at 7:24 a.m. on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon, IL.  She was born September 17, 1968 in Cantilan, Surigao del Sur, Philippines the daughter of Romualda Allocod Guimary and Uldarico Sulapas Guimary.  On November 15, 2006 she married Norman Truelove in Cantilan, Philippines.

Survivors include her husband, Norman Truelove of Martinsville, IL; children, Dancie Jean Truelove of Sullivan, IN, Destanee Rose Truelove of Westfield, IL and Chance Oscar James Truelove of Martinsville, IL; siblings, Paul Guimary (Annette) of Melbourne, FL, Roul  Guimary of Desmarina, Philippines, Naomi Sullano (Jaime) of Cantilan, Philippines and Ruth Burga (Alma) of Cantilan, Philippines, her Church family, many nephews, nieces and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Nancy Guimary.

Celebration of Life services will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Monday, October 23, 2023 at Casey First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Mark Copley and Pastor Brian Hancock officiating.  Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Martinsville, IL. Visitation will be held from 1p.m. – 3 p.m. prior to the service on Monday at Casey First Church of the Nazarene, 1000 US-40, Casey, IL. 

Richel graduated with her BA degrees in theology and teaching in the Philippines.  She worked as a receptionist and secretary for Casey First Church of the Nazarene and Truelove Family Trucking, Inc.  Richel enjoyed singing, cooking, gardening, shopping and reading the Bible.  She was a people person and always had a soft spot for family.  She had a very loving and caring nature especially with her family and babies.  Richel had a strong faith in God and was a devoted member and active in all aspects of the Casey First Church of the Nazarene.
