Rachel Ann Hart

Rachel Ann Hart, age 54, of Charleston, IL formerly of Tahlequah, OK passed away at 7:33 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL. She was born March 15, 1968 in Joliet, IL the daughter of Melvin Leroy Hart and Leona Joan Tuttle Hart.

Survivors include her uncle, Albert Tuttle of Paris, IL; special friend, John Conrad of Tahlequah, OK; aunt, Betty Finney of Greenup, IL; two nieces; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Randal Hart; aunts, Lorene Collier and Millie Gray; and uncle, Pete Finney.

Rachel was a 1985 graduate of Kansas Oklahoma High School. In Scraper, OK, Rachel was a member of the Christian Church and a volunteer firefighter. She was also a certified first responder for the Illinois River Volunteer Fire Department. She was a secretary for the Cherokee County Fire Fighters Association. Rachel enjoyed reading, cooking, and playing video games. She also enjoyed going to rock shows and collecting and polishing rocks.

Private graveside inurnment services will be held at a later date at Island Grove Cemetery in rural Martinsville, IL.
