Penny Sue (Sanders) Skinner, age 56, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, August 2, 2021 at her home. She was born December 9, 1964 in Terre Haute, IN, the daughter of Dennis Chester Sanders and Helen Marie (Veach) Sanders. On October 27, 1984 she married Don Bailey Skinner in Martinsville, IL.
Survivors include her husband, Don Skinner of Martinsville, IL; children, Heath Skinner of Marshall, IL; Myria Jo Whitaker (James Jr.) of Martinsville, IL; Shauntona Skinner of Martinsville, IL and Sherri Melton (Ryan) of Arcola, IL; parents, Dennis Sanders of Martinsville, IL and Helen Sanders (John) of Marshall, IL; brothers, Dennis A. Sanders (Cheryl) of Martinsville, IL and Terry Sanders (Christy) of Martinsville, IL; grandchildren; Makhayla Skinner, Lucas Skinner, Quentin Skinner, Osheona Skinner, Jacob Skinner, Oliver Skinner, Brenden Skinner, Brianna Akers, Richard Jaeger, Lexie Jaeger and Jordan Melton. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ira and Cora Veach and John C. and Dorothy Sanders and granddaughter, Jadyen Jo Skinner.
Penny was a 1982 graduate of Martinsville High School. She worked at Pap R Products in Martinsville before working as an EMT for Martinsville Ambulance Service. Penny was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Martinsville. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by all who loved her.
Public visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday, August 6, 2021 at Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington St., Martinsville, IL. Private graveside services and burial will be held in Bluegrass Cemetery, Martinsville, IL.
