Patricia Zachary Obituary

Patricia Marlene Zachary, age 72, of Martinsville, IL went home to be with her Lord and Savior on a beautiful sunny Sunday, February 27, 2022 surrounded by her loving husband and children.  She was born on February 15, 1950, in Paris, IL to Raymond and Irene (Lyons) Lowry.  She married the love of her life, Michael Clair Zachary, on September 22, 1967 and they were married for over fifty-four years.

To say Patricia was a great cook would be an understatement.  She was an exceptionally gifted cook!  When entering her home, the first question usually asked was “What’s for supper?”.  She not only loved to serve her family, but she also loved to serve her church family, friends, and neighbors.  She had a servant’s heart and it showed in all she did.

Patricia was a member of the First Baptist Church of Martinsville where she served on the kitchen committee for several years.  She and Mike always enjoyed attending their couple’s class together.

She was an amazing wife and mother and created a loving home. Patricia loved her husband unconditionally, was so proud of her children, cherished her grandkids, and treasured her great grandchildren. She was loved beyond measure.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Michael Zachary of Martinsville, IL; brothers – John (Fran) Lowry of Marshall, IL and Bill (Carol) Lowry of Martinsville, IL.

God blessed Patricia and Mike with four children, Kim (Scott) McGee of Cincinnati, OH, Carol Ann (Michael) Nave of Marion, IL, Krista (André) Oberle of St. Genevieve, MO, and Michael (Robyn) Zachary of Martinsville, IL.  She was Grandma to fourteen grandchildren: Kurtis (Elizabeth) McGee, Kristin McGee, Jordan (Zachary) St. Jean, Aaron McGee; Zachary (Sami) Nave, Parker, Layton, Trinae, and Keyan Nave; Eva, André, and Ben Oberle; Carly and Paige Zachary. Six great grandchildren called her Grammy: Ansley, Brayton, Dallas, and Evalyn St. Jean; Carter McGee; and Tatum Nave. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters – Mary Lee and Karen Kesling and brother – Fred Lowry.
