Okey Wayne Facer Sr.

Okey Wayne Facer Sr., age 73, of Covington, IN formerly of Casey, IL passed away 10:10 p.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2021 in St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport, IN.  He was born March 29, 1948 in Annapolis, IL the son of Charles W. Facer and Betty May Chesser Facer. 

Survivors include his wife, Jan Watkins of Covington, IN and their adopted daughter Selena; son, Okey Facer Jr. and wife Jeanette of Pocahontas, IL and their family Jacqueline Facer (Daniel Forsburg) and their son Avery, Nathaniel Facer, Raegan Facer and Griffin Facer; son, Gary Facer and wife Kelly of Paris, IL; adopted son, Mark Facer of KY and his family Hunter Facer, Maverick A. Facer, Elizabeth Manning and three great grandchildren; adopted daughter, Jennifer Facer Hunt and her two sons; son, Jessie E. Facer of KY and his family, nieces, nephews and friends.  Okey was preceded in death by his father, mother and stepfather, Betty M. and Denzil E. Goodwin and many uncles and aunts.

Okey was a graduate of Casey High School.  He worked as a mechanic for heavy equipment. 

A Graveside Memorial Service with Military Rites by Casey VFW and Martinsville American Legion will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Washington Street Cemetery in Casey, IL. 

Previous funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2021at Shelby Funeral Home in Covington, IN.  Burial followed in Mount Hope Cemetery in Covington, IN.
