Nancy M. Coleman Culler Obituary

Nancy M. Coleman Culler, age 59, of Hazel Dell, IL passed away at 12:40 p.m. on Monday, June 8, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born June 17, 1960 in Casey, IL the daughter of Leland Max Coleman and Mildred Louise Matheny Coleman.  On May 16, 2004 she married Harold Wayne Culler at Hazel Dell Church of God in Hazel Dell, IL.

Survivors include her loving husband of 16 years, Harold Culler of Hazel Dell, IL; stepson, Don Culler and wife Sam of Bridgeport, IL; brothers, Roy Coleman (Betty Jean) of Yale, IL; Lester Coleman of Casey, IL; Max L. Coleman (Jeanette) of Shelbyville, IL and Richard Coleman (Barb) of Casey, IL; sisters, Mary Martin (Wayne) of Springerton, IL and Betty Nidey of Greenup, IL; brother in law, Larry Beauchamp of Robinson, IL; three step granddaughters; many step great grandchildren; uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, her Church family and community and many friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Susan Coleman and Rosalie Beauchamp; brother in law, Jerry Nidey; sister in law, Mary Coleman and nieces, Amy Diane Martin and Lisa Martin.

Nancy was a 1978 graduate of Casey High School.  She was a homemaker, child care provider and spent her entire life caring for her family and volunteering in the Hazel Dell Community.  She enjoyed organizing and helping at the Hazel Dell Library; volunteering for the monthly Hazel Dell American Legion Fish Fry and was an active member of the Hazel Dell Homecoming Committee.  Nancy was a member of Casey First Church of the Nazarene where she enjoyed singing and participating in musical plays.  She and Harold attended Hazel Dell Church of God where she enjoyed singing in the choir and working in the kitchen for various meals the Church would provide.  Nancy enjoyed traveling, reading, camping and animals of all kinds, especially birds and cats.  She was well known for her delicious desserts, especially her Christmas cookies.  Nancy enjoyed life; she never complained and was always willing to lend a helping hand.    

A Memorial Service in her honor will be held at a later date. 

Memorial donations may be made to Lincolnland Hospice, 1004 Health Center Drive, Mattoon, IL 61938.
