Nancy A. (Nay) Macey

Nancy A. (Nay) Macey, age 61, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 10:52 a.m. on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at home after a short battle with cancer.  She was born May 12, 1960 in Paris, IL the daughter of Forrest Nay and Alberta Augustus Nay.  On March 27, 1999 she married Larry Joe Macey in Marshall, IL; he passed away on November 10, 2019.

Survivors include sisters, Donna Nichols (Phil) of Charleston, IL and Jean Toothman of Charleston, IL; brother, John Nay of Paris, IL; sisters-in-law, Patricia Bennett (Monty) of Benton, AR and Audrey Macey of Sidney, OH, many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and her beloved huskies, Sage and Blue.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Nancy was a 1979 graduate of Kansas High School; she then attended Lake Land College.  Nancy proudly served in the Clark County Treasurer’s office since 2003.  In 2018, she was elected Clark County Treasurer.  Nancy was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Parish Church in Marshall, IL.  In her spare time she enjoyed the beach and spending time on the farm with her huskies. 

Funeral Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 6, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Parish Church, 414 S. Sixth St., Marshall, IL with Father Augustine Koomson officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Marshall, IL.  Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday afternoon at Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington St., Martinsville, IL.
