Marion was a 1955 graduate of Casey High School.  He was a retired agricultural farmer, livestock farmer, pilot and independent oil producer in Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky. Marion also raised and raced thoroughbred horses for many years.

Marion and Jackie enjoyed traveling; they drove many miles hauling racehorses, picking up oilfield equipment, making trips in the semi-truck, driving her Corvette or riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle on many weekends throughout the US.  They restored antique tractors and attended shows as members of the Two-Cylinder Club.  Marion was a collector of many things, antique tractors, #13 Ball Mason jars, matches and antique oilfield wrenches.

When not out wandering the oilfields or mowing on the farms, Marion enjoyed watching FOX News, NewsNation, old westerns, old TV series and action movies.  Every Sunday morning you knew he would be watching his favorite minister preaching on TV.  On occasion when the TV was off you could hear country western music playing.  Marion was very patriotic; he loved the colors red, white and blue.
