Loren Alan Lindsay, age 62, of Greenup, IL passed away unexpectedly at 3:07 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2023 at his home. He was born December 20, 1960 in Mattoon, IL the son of Teddy Dean Lindsay and Mildred Inez Gentry Lindsay.
Survivors include his mother, Mildred Stewart (Jim) of Greenup, IL; brother, Leslie Lindsay of AZ; sisters, Allison Lindsay-Sullivan (Rick) of Salem, IL; Stacey Nichols (Mike) of Casey, IL and Teddi Tabacek (Mike) of Albuquerque, NM; children, Danielle Schroeder (Shawn) of Jerseyville, IL; Summer Culpepper (Jason) of AR and Dylan Meyer of Surprise, AZ; seven grandchildren, one great granddaughter, eight nephews and nieces and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and wife, Cindy Dunne Lindsay.
Loren attended Cumberland High School and graduated in 1978 from Shelbyville High School. He worked as a site supervisor in construction for Forcum Lannom Contractor in Dyersburg, TN. Loren was a talented musician; he played drums for various musicians in the Nashville, TN area. He had a passion for writing songs; many were published by various artists.
A Memorial Service will be held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Joe Richard officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 – 5 p.m. prior to the service at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL 62420.
