Linda Kay (Galey) Inman

Linda Kay (Galey) Inman, age 78, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 3 p.m. on Monday, January 9, 2023 at her home.  She was born November 3, 1944 in Terre Haute, IN the daughter of Rolla Roe Galey and Madge Lucille Hollingsworth Galey.  On June 26, 1966 she married Leon Bernard Inman in Martinsville, IL.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Leon Inman of Martinsville, IL; daughters, Lisa Dillman (Brad) of Valdosta, GA and Lora Parcel (Joey) of Martinsville, IL; grandchildren, Nicholas Dillman, Meredith Dillman, Emily Parcel, Allison Parcel, Adam Parcel and Addison Parcel; sister, Louise Cahoon of Moss Beach, CA; brothers, Charles Galey of Denver, CO and Stanley Galey of Chapin, SC.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Rae Pepper and brother, Lowell Galey. 

Linda was a 1962 graduate of Martinsville High School.  She graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a bachelor degree in elementary education.  She resigned from teaching after 19 years in the Martinsville School District.  She then worked as an independent insurance representative for several years.  She enjoyed music, sewing, dining out with friends and was always willing to play Rummikub.  She cherished time she could spend with her family Linda was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Charleston, IL and also attended Martinsville Christian Church. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Greenwell Funeral Home with Pastor Janice Kahl officiating.  Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Martinsville, IL.  Visitation will be held from 4 – 6 p.m. on Thursday evening at Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington St., Martinsville, IL.
