Linda Sue (Potter) Haycraft

Linda Sue (Potter) Haycraft, age 69, of Charleston, IL passed away at 11:58 a.m. on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Coles County, IL.  She was born December 31, 1953 in Casey, IL the daughter of James Harrison Potter and Mona Leona Funk Potter.  On April 13, 1973 she married Billy Junior Haycraft.   

Survivors include her husband, Bill Haycraft of Mattoon, IL; children, Harlan Haycraft (Kathy Farrell) of Charleston, IL and Christine Haycraft of Mattoon, IL; siblings, Susie McDonald (Dave) of Ashmore, IL, Nancy Green of Mattoon, IL, Eileen Clark of Bushton, IL and Larry Potter (Lois) of Casey, IL, many nephews and nieces and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Linda was a 1971 graduate of Mattoon High School.  She worked for Knowles Diner in Mattoon, IL for many years.  Linda loved spending time with her family especially during the holidays.  She enjoyed coloring and working cross word puzzles.

Memorial visitation will be held from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Monday, November 13, 2023 at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
