Levi Joseph Powers

Levi Joseph Powers, age 29, of Martinsville, IL passed away on Monday night, October 12, 2020 in Martinsville, IL.  He was born May 6, 1991 in Terre Haute, IN, the son of William Gene Powers and Terisa L. Knight.   

Survivors include his father, William Gene “Bill” Powers of Paris, IL; mother, Terisa L. Shaffner (Todd) of Martinsville, IL; brother, Jason Butler of Casey, IL; sisters, Amanda Scott (Ryan) of Carmel, IN and Tiffany Schiver (Jesse) of Martinsville, IL; daughter, Norah Keenan Powers of Martinsville, IL; girlfriend, Krista Sewell of Martinsville IL; paternal grandmother, Carolyn “Snookie” Powers of Paris, IL and uncle to Liam, Saige, Sansa, and Sawyer. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Rita Knight and paternal grandfather, Robert Powers.

Levi was a 2009 graduate of Martinsville High School.  He was a supervisor for Cadillac Products in Paris, IL.  Levi was a hard worker; he enjoyed cooking, grilling, gaming and had the best one-liners ever. He loved the Rams when no one else did.  Levi had the biggest heart; to know him was to love him.  His smile could light up a room.  He loved his family; he especially loved being a dad and cherished all the time he spent with Norah.

Private family funeral services will be held. 

Visitation will be held from 4 – 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington St., Martinsville, IL.   (Per CDC guidelines, 50 attendees are allowed inside our facility at a time. Attendees should stay at least 6 feet apart and wear a cloth face covering.)
