Lee Wayne Goodwin, age 80, of Casey, IL passed away at 6:14 p.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Heritage Woods in Charleston, IL. He was born January 6, 1943 in Casey, IL, the son of Clarence V. Goodwin and Christine Hock Goodwin. On October 9, 1993 he married Norletta Ann Kelley in Casey, IL.
Survivors include his wife, Norletta Goodwin of Charleston IL; children, Corrina Tally (Zane) of Kansas, IL, Angie Locascio (Karl) of Zionsville, IN, Jamie (Jim) Goodwin (Sarah) of Owensboro, KY, and Amanda Tennessen (David) of Gallatin, TN; stepchildren, Scott Stewart of Mattoon, IL and Kristy Ramert (James) of Neoga, IL; Grandchildren, Brandie Rankin (Jerry), Zachary Tally (Jacque), Elena Locascio, Austin Goodwin, Aiden Goodwin, Mackenzie Goodwin, Grayson Goodwin, Peyton Goodwin, Davy Tennessen; step grandchildren Drew Ramert, Audrey Ramert, Jerry Stewart, and Jacob Stewart; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Rankin, Rachel Rankin, Kassidy Tally, Zayden Tally, and Karlee Tally; and sister, Karen “Kay” Hutchings of Paris, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Judith “Judy” Craig of Martinsville, IL.
Lee attended Casey schools and was a lifelong resident of Casey, IL. He retired after 43 years as an over the road truck driver; he truly enjoyed his travels on the open road. Lee also enjoyed camping and fishing and spending time with his family.
Funeral service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Southard officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Ridgelawn Cemetery, Martinsville, IL. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
