Karla Ann Martino

Karla Ann Martino, age 50, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 12:40 a.m. on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. She was born November 27, 1971 in Terre Haute, IN.  Karla was the daughter of James Dean Remlinger and Patricia Ann Toner Wells. 

Survivors include her fiancé, Jesse Burson of Martinsville, IL; children, Chelsea Nicole Martino (Caleb Conrad) of Casar, NC; Cassie Gail Martino (Kyle Spurgeon) of Martinsville, IL and Brandon Wayne Martino of Martinsville, IL; sisters, Sherri Alier of Martinsville, IL and Janet Gross of Martinsville, IL; grandchildren, Marcus Beaty, Raiden Beaty and Ava Ann Conrad; the father of her children, Wayne Martino of Martinsville, IL; three nephews and several cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents. 

Karla attended Pilgrim Learning Center prior to attending Marshall High School.  She was employed at the Days Inn in Casey, IL for over 13 years.  She was a dedicated worker and a wonderful daughter, sister, mother and grandmother.  Her family was very important to her; she especially cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren.  Her newest interest was trying new recipes.  She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services will begin at 11 am on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Greenwell Funeral Home with Brother Gary Hopkins officiating.  Burial will follow in the Ridgelawn Cemetery in Martinsville, IL. Visitation will be held from 10 – 11 am prior to the service on Thursday at Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington St., Martinsville, IL. (Per CDC Guidelines indoor masks and face coverings are required regardless of vaccination status in the facility. Attendees should also practice social distancing.)
