Jill K. Huddlestun Shawver, age 84, of Casey, IL passed away at 5:17 p.m. on Monday, June 14, 2021 at her home in Casey, IL. She was born on April 18, 1937 in Casey, IL, the daughter of H. Bruce Huddlestun and Eleanor Bline Huddlestun. On July 19, 1957 she married Jack K. Shawver in Marshall, IL. He passed away on November 17, 2015.
Survivors include her children, Jack S. Shawver and wife Vicki of Olney, IL; David Shawver and wife Kathy of Casey, IL; Scott Shawver and wife Sally of Casey, IL and Donna Biggs and husband Shelby of Casey, IL; grandchildren, Lacy (Kirk) Walters of Olney, IL; Colby (Alexis) Shawver of Olney, IL; Brittany (Conner) Dixon of Olney, IL; Kacie (Brian) Rhoads of Casey, IL; Korie (Will) Schaefer of Robinson, IL; Kirk (Lindsay) Shawver of Casey, IL; Alex Shawver of Casey, IL; Gavin Shawver of Charleston, IL; Blake (Whitney) Biggs of Bloomington, IL; Taylor (Jordyn) Biggs of Effingham, IL and Beau Biggs of Casey, IL; great grandchildren, Rylyn and Irelan Walters; Parker and Case Shawver; Brynn Dixon; Braden, Hudson, Asher and Ryder Rhoads; Madilyn, Max and Liam Schaefer; Rayna and Vayda Shawver; Jackson and Eva Shawver; Finley and Tucker Biggs; sister Janice Richardson of Casey, IL, her Church family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Jill was a 1955 graduate of Casey High School. She retired after 42 years as head cook at Monroe Elementary School in Casey, IL. Jill was a faithful member of the Casey United Methodist Church. Her greatest joy was her family; she truly enjoyed their children’s and grandchildren’s activities and attended as many as possible.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 21, 2021 at the Casey United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Joe Richard officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 12 – 2 p.m. on Monday prior to the service at the Casey United Methodist Church, 703 N. State Hwy 49, Casey, IL.
