Harold Eugene Middleton
September 2, 1930-August 25, 2021
Gene, as he was known to most, lived a full and adventurous life. He met his wife Carole through letter writing while he was in the Korean conflict. Despite no college education he rose to leadership positions in Chicago based contracting companies that formed much of the skyline of the 1970’s and 1980’s. He was an athlete who enjoyed fast pitch softball and tennis. But his true passion was the outdoors. From Colorado fly fishing to hunting pheasants, he loved to be outdoors, and he loved to share this passion with others. In death we wish him many lakes and rivers to read and many fish to catch.
He is preceded in death by his wife Carole Joyce (Perdue) Middleton and his son Edward E Middleton, who passed away in 2019 and 2020 respectively. He is survived by his daughter Suann Middleton, her husband Vernon and his granddaughter Julia M Alexander. He is also survived by Ed’s son Corbin L Middleton and his wife Gina.
