Harold Albert Funk, age 74, of Casey, IL passed away at 10:25 a.m. on Friday, August 14, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 15, 1946 in Detroit, MI the son of Glen Norris Funk and Bonita Rosina Stevenson Funk. On February 20, 1981 he married Mary Ann Robey in Casey, IL.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Funk of Casey, IL; son, Jesse Adam Funk of Chicago, IL; sisters, Carole Blanchard (Ted) of Casey, IL and Sharon England (Terry) of Westfield, IN; sister in law, Connie Sullivan of Greenup, IL and several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Glen Funk; mother, Bonita Swartz and sister, Linda McGill.
Harold was a 1964 graduate of Casey High School. He served his country in the US Army from 1965 to1968. Harold was retired after 20 years as a building service worker at Eastern Illinois University. He served as Johnson Township Trustee for eight years, a Wounded Warrior volunteer and was a member of Martinsville American Legion Post 515. He was an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and gardening.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Mount Cemetery south of Casey, IL with Military Rites by Casey VFW and Martinsville American Legion.
