Gerald "Jerry" Charles Beeson

Gerald Charles “Jerry” Beeson, age 91, of Casey, IL passed away at 1:52 p.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. He was born December 5, 1930 in Pellville, KY the son of Franklin Charles Beeson and Mary Cecelia Monson Beeson. On March 12, 1954 he married Donna E. Widdows in Toledo, IL, she passed away on December 25, 2011.

Survivors include his son, Gerald Bradley “Brad” Beeson (Annette Fain) of Casey, IL; daughter. Sherry Sloan (Dean) of Casey, IL; grandchildren, Joe Sloan (Marion), Tony Sloan (Tori), Clint Sloan (Anna), and Andrew Beeson (Jodi); great grandchildren, Andre Sloan, Joslyn Sloan, Mya Sloan, Ava Sloan, Ali Sloan, Cale Sloan, Preslie Beeson, Gunnar Beeson, Knox Sloan, Rene Garza, Liam Lanier, and Arik Sloan; and sister, Shirley Savage of Casey, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and sister, Jeanine Jern.

Jerry was a 1949 graduate of Casey High School in Casey, IL. He was the owner and oil producer of Beeson Oil Company in Casey, IL. Jerry was a former member of Casey Masonic Lodge #442, Ainad Shrine Temple, and the Clark Co. Shrine Club. He was a proud Air Force veteran, serving as a Dental Hygienist. Jerry loved to travel, he especially enjoyed flea markets and auctions. He enjoyed collecting silver. Jerry was also a true diehard Chicago Bears fan.

Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Markwell Funeral Home with Eddie Hammond officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Street Cemetery, Casey, IL with military rites. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday prior to the service at Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL. (Per CDC Guidelines indoor masks and face coverings are required regardless of vaccination status in the facility.  Attendees should also practice social distancing.)
